Everything Skin Salve
A salve for just about everything - in a small tin that is great to pop into your bag when travelling, camping or hiking or the first aid cabinet at home. Made from an olive oil infusion of St Johns Wort, Calendula, Plantain, Chickweed, Black Walnut Leaf with essential oils of Cajeput, Lavender, Geranium and Ravensara and beeswax. A go-to for grazes, bruising and minor trauma, skin Irritations like heat rash or chafing, blisters, sunburn and bites and stings.
Topical properties these herbs are known for:
St John's Wort - antibacterial, anti-inflammatory. Topically to treat bruises, muscle pain, nerve damage, minor burns and to promote healing.
Calendula - Anti-inflammatory. Soothes dry or irritated skin, dermatitis, cuts, insect bites and rashes. Helps the healing process.
Chickweed - It is anti-inflammatory and cooling. It relieves itching, inflammed and irritated skin conditions and known to calm down insect bites.
Plantain - Rich in mucilage. Aids in the healing of wounds, minor burns, bruises and relieves the itching associated with bites and stings.
Black Walnut Leaf - Anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic. Styptic to stop bleeding and a topical treatment for rashes and fungal infections.
