Classic Bay Rum Soap with Orange Peel
This distinctive woody, sweet and spicy scent features the essential oils of west indian bay, orange and clove. It is traditionally a masculine fragrance but loved by both men and woman.
West Indian Bay (Pimenta racemosa) is a tree in the myrtle family that is native to the Caribbean region. Common names include west indian bay tree or bay rum tree, hence the name of the soap. It is a broad-spectrum anti-infective, meaning it helps in preventing many types of infections and is an excellent antiseptic. Clove oil contains a compound called eugenol which is known for its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties so this combination of essential oils are not just for the scent.
The soaping oils used include natural cocoa butter that gives the soap an underlying chocolate warmth, added hydration and bar hardness. It also contains ground orange peel, for gentle exfoliation to tone skin and help control excessive oils associated with acne. As orange peel is rich in vitamin C and other antioxidants it is said to help brighten your skin, and even out skin tones. Overall a classic scented soap with a creamy lather for face and body.

Since our natural soaps don't contain any synthetic preservatives or artificial hardeners, please remember to care for them. Store your soap on a well drained soap dish, aired and out of any water. Use within 6 months of purchase.
